Abstract:
In the field of electrical engineering, Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) refers to the ability of an electrical device to work satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without influencing the surrounding devices, or being influenced by the surrounding devices.While analysing the Electromagnetic compatability it is found that there is a noise souce which affects the sink through the coupling path.Various types of coupling are radiative,capacitive,inductive and conductively coupling.Due to EMC there arises some disturbances.These disturbances mainly affects the supply, signal line and the ground.In EMC design various measures are taken to avoid unnecessary switching operations which affect the circuit.Inorder to rectify the problems occuring due to interference the EMC design in Automotive sytem is essential. Automotive EMC expert systems monitor the design of an automobile to identify potential EMC problems as soon as they arise. The problems due to Electric and Magnetic fields are solved by using shielding, proper grounding and isolation.
