National Symposium on Rotor Dynamics - IIT Madras

December 19,20,21

Most machines have one or more rotating parts. Rotating machine elements thus form the backbone of industrial infrastructure and therefore play a pivotal role in the growth and development of the country. Rotor Dynamics is the key in design and maintenance of all such rotating machinery. This area has made tremendous strides in recent years.

ObCom 2011 - VIT

September 9

This International Conference is a major event to be conducted following the grand success of series of ObCom conferences during 2003, 2004 and 2006, which were audited by a good number of participants from Academia and Industry across the World. The past ObCom conferences received good contributions from academia, industry and research organizations. Our sponsors included governmental and non-governmental agencies like DRDO, ISTE, DIT, CSIR etc.

ELECTRO MAGNETIC AUTOMOBILE ENGINE SYSTEM

Posted by tpapers On 11:38 pm

Abstract:

In the present automobile Engine System combustion of air fuel mixture is used to generate the power. In this system current from the 12 V battery is passed through the step up transformer. In transformer its voltage is magnified to 20 KV to 45KV. This produces spark through spark plug in cylinder of engine. Through the spark combustion of air fuel mixture   takes place and high temperature and pressure is produced. This produced pressure provide torque to the cam shaft through piston rod. This paper talks about the Electro Magnetic Automobile Engine System in which torque to the cam shaft is provided by the    electromagnetic force. This force is produced by the electromagnetic solenoid. Because in      this system the power is produced by the electromagnetic force so there is no requirement of   the Fuel injection system, inlet and outlet port and even for fuel also. The maximum of produced energy can be used as useful work. For generating the Electro Magnetic Force the main factor considered in this system is current. For generating required current and current flow a battery of specific power an transformer with the specific number of turns in each coil are used. In this system the voltage is not required as high as in case of present engine so by decreasing voltage the current is made increased here. So this can be more efficient than the present one to fulfill the requirement and it can bring the revolution in the field of automobiles.
